Words from our teachers about themselves and their teaching approaches:

Monica:
Yoga is absolutely any activity which allows one to elevate his perceptions to the point of becoming aware of life the way it truly is.

Explore different paths and decide which resonates mostly to you. Learn to optimise the process and come to the one and only truth: YOGA is UNION.

With Hatha Yoga we will learn the traditional approach of this science, the philosophy and basic alignment, so you can be safe wherever you choose to practice. We will create space by learning how to come back within, and eventually prepare to take yoga off the mat.

The classes will help you to embrace the sense of self love and self-care by working on the Anahata (Heart Chakra) as well.

With every practice we remember that no matter how strong and flexible we feel, we need to give ourselves time to look inside, to understand what we feel and to learn to live in harmony with ourselves.

My Yoga Journey began during maternity, I discovered it as an extraordinary form of authentic self-reconnection, mood relief, stress relieving and helped me with the back pain I was experiencing.

In 2016 I graduated 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training in the Yoga World - Rishikesh, India and became an accredited US Yoga Alliance teacher on multiple yoga styles.

Every since, I am continuously sharing the teachings and it brings it fills me with joy and fulfilment passing the good state of mind, calm and positive energy to the wonderful people I am blessed to meet in this journey.

Dancs:
Ashtanga Yoga is a dynamic and vigorous Hatha yoga practice that was introduced to the western world in the beginning of the 20th century by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. During our mornings together we're gonna build the base of the Primary Series also called Yoga Chikitsa or therapeutic yoga, by delving into its main aspects: simultaneous focus on three elements (tristhana): breath, posture (asana) and gazing point (drishti). We'll flow through a fixed set of asanas, paying attention to alignment details, to transition between postures and to the connection between movement and breath (vinyasa). We'll integrate into our practice also more subtle elements like bandhas which are energetic bands that direct the energy into the whole body through physical adjustments and muscular activation. By understanding and learning how to work with all these, we'll acquire flexibility, strength and steadiness of body and mind and eventually experience a state of active meditation. With discipline and commitment Ashtanga Yoga becomes a personal practice that supports us through the ups and downs of life. I encourage you to give it time so that it starts happen to you too.

My relation with Ashtanga yoga started years ago in 2004 and no matter where life took me, I have always got back to it. I practice it with devotion and enthusiasm since 2015, day by day observing its transformative power. I am an active person who enjoys moving a lot and through all my practices, might them be dancing, surfing, snowboarding or Ashtanga I search for ways of harmoniously flowing within the present and this is also what I'd like to transfer to the ones that join my classes.

Larisa:
Yoga is a practice which leads us from narrow, constricted, egoistic personality to eternal and blissful state of mind. It's a lifestyle which helps us grow entirely and with that growth we learn to live in higher state of awareness.
Hatha yoga is about self discipline, breaking habit patterns and gaining control over the mind by understanding the breath and the body.

In my classes, we focus more on details, on aligning the bones and keeping the joints in their proper positions. This style of Hatha Yoga is based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. With proper yoga alignment we avoid injury and build body strength by engaging all the muscles evenly in a coordinated manner, without exerting too much pressure on any particular muscle or joint. We use props (blocks, straps, bolsters, the wall) to access the poses safely and effectively. “The body is a prop for the soul. So why not let the body be propped by a wall or a block?” -B.K.S. Iyengar. We use the asanas to get into the body, and not the body to get into asanas.

I started practicing Hatha Yoga in 2015 and last year I went on a spiritual journey to India, where I learned that there is much more to yoga than asana. We practice yoga just by being aware of everything we do in each moment, by giving 100 percent. Thus we become aware of the present moment and gain deeper understanding and wisdom.

Hitesh:
Yoga is a spiritual practice to attain the final stage of Samadhi, enlightenment. Through the practice one can stop the mind from chattering, stop the consciousness from taking bodily forms again and again, thus attain eternal peace. Numerous yogis all over the world have attained Samadhi and transferred their wisdom through various methods all the way down to us in the 21st century. When we set the goal high, we definitely achieve what’s on the way. Good health, strength, flexibility, mental calmness, and an easy going attitude towards all life situations is a by-product of a regular yoga practice. When yoga practice is combined with right knowledge, right attitude, right company, yamas and niyamas (internal and external ethics), mantra chanting, and satsangs (spiritual discourse), the rate of our growth increases exponentially.

In my sessions, my major focus remains on my students’ overall wellbeing. Correct breathing, constant awareness of the self, and constant reminder of yoga philosophy throughout the sessions is my way of sharing. I invite students to enter the yogashala with zero expectations from the self and the teacher. I insist on asking them to operate at the level of feeling during the session and at the level of thinking after the session to introspect. I ask them to believe in nothing but their own experiential understandings. No rituals, no dogma is practiced in my sessions.

I belong to a small village in the Indian Himalayas. I have received spiritual initiations from my highly spiritual and wise parents who have dedicated their lives for attainment of THAT. I have learnt over the years from my yoga and travelling experiences that human beings have the power to destroy and make themselves at their wish. The only limitations we have is set by ourselves. I live this life for knowledge and experiences, nothing else. And since I expect nothing else, I have abundantly received EVERYTHING. I practice inclusion. I see oneness wherever I look hence I am not the centre of this universe. As Alan Watts puts it, “I am God disguised in a human form”. All is in me and I am in all. There is no separation. Trust me that if you live your life this way, peace pervades your being.

I am teaching in Romania since last year and I often travel to other cities to hold workshops and retreats. My classes won’t sound as serious as my words here might sound to you. I love to speak broken Romanian which will make you laugh. Seriousness is not suggested, wellbeing and joy is.
Hari OM Tat Sat!
